I just started letterboxing this year. Although I have known about it
for some time now, thanks to my parents' influence. This past weekend I
got together with my family to put out a series of four boxes in the
central Mass area. I have decided to call them "The Proposal", and it is
dedicated to my future wife. (Because this is the method I employed to ask
my love for her hand in marriage.) I wonder if this would count as a
first? :)
Anyhow, the clues are included as an attachment, and I will keep a copy on
my own website (which is still under remodeling).
http://www.tufts.edu/~jdisch/letterboxing/proposal.html
Please put it up on the LbNA site, thanks.
Now that the snow has melted we can finally get back out this weekend to
find more around the Boston area.

Dear Jeremy,
I second Nisa in saying what a great way to propose. These boxes look
like a great addition to our New England fund. I have put in a link
to your clue page from our southern New England map.
Best wishes,

Jeremy,
What a wonderful way to propose! Greta's one lucky girl :)
Could you add the terrain difficulty? The spousal unit and I are gathering up
the clues for all the easy letterboxes for summer/fall outings when our
letterboxer in the bud has finally arrived!

Nice work Jeremy--I can't wait to give these a try once the ground gets
just a tad drier!
Oh boy, another beautiful letterboxing season about to begin....

Thanks for all of the good wishes.
As for the terrain, I would list it as Easy-Moderate (Boxes=Easy, Chasm
floor/Cliffs=Moderate). Leaning toward Moderate because we were concerned
last fall when we saw a woman carrying her infant in her arms while rock
scrambling in the chasm floor. Needless to say it made our hair stand!!! I
definately just wanted to put a word of caution on the rating. Small
hills, very short and well marked and traveled trails.
It was quite muddy this past weekend, and still quite icy (The chasm has a
natural cooling effect, which keeps ice and snow till spring.)
I figure if the current weather holds, conditions should improve quite
quickly. So that if you do visit, you don't take home a lot of central
MA mud in your car.

Jeremy and Greta -
Congratulatins to you both! WE wish you the best.
Your clues are beautifully poetic - what a nice form for letterboxing to
take. I am sure it is a first.
